Layers Coups

Help Secure our Chickies
Unfortunately, last year about 20 of our layers were stolen during the night by thieves cutting through the chicken wire fences and doors in our coop. Before our next round of layers goes into the coop we need to produce better security. The major way is in fixing better doors to their pens. At this stage we only have steel door frames with chicken mesh attached around it (this makes it VERY easy for would-be robbers to snip through the door to get our chicks).

By chipping in with this project you can help us purchase steel mesh for the doors as well two pockets of cement to help secure the door supports in place. All it will cost is $106 and our layers will be more secure.

Here is a breakdown of the costs
Steel Rods x 8 @ $9 per rod = $72.00
Pocket of Cement x 2 @ $14 per pocket = $24
Welding Rod x 5 @ $2 per rod = $10
